Some of us may buy Lego bricks for the fun, some for the investment and some for a charitable cause. While I could tell a lot about the first two, I will be focusing on the third one this time. I have recently become aware of a great project currently running and still looking for strong bidders: a Lego charity auction.

This charity project was initiated by Paul Boratko, a.k.a Crowkillers, a Lego artist specialized in model-cars building. Boratko has an impressive track record of Lego model-cars, in which not only the outside look is terrific, but also the inside delivers: scaled V6/V8/V12, full drive train, full steering and full transmission.

While some would keep their talents for themselves, Boratko decided to use his for the greater good and designed a very special model to be auctioned on eBay. The Technic artist decided to give away his Deluxe Technic Supercar NFL Pittsburgh Steeler's Edition to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, specialized in making wishes happen for children with life-threatening conditions.

This initiative certainly honors him, and while the Lego fan community is most certainly standing by him, Boratko will need some extra bidders to reach a $1,000-plus goal for his auction ending on February 3rd.

While you might not be able to afford supporting the auction, you may want to support the altruist artist and his passion by voting for his project on Lego Cuusoo and make "his" 10,000 votes wish happen.

All the best for the auction, Paul!
