Disney Junior has a special celebration planned. Apparently, Jake of Jake and the Never Land Pirates has a birthday coming up and the network is ready to parrrty.
Arrr ye looking to send some birthday greetings to our favorite first mate? Disney is looking for a few landlubbers to put on TV.
Starting Thursday, January 31, parents can download a printable birthday card from the Disney Junior website. Have your pint-sized pirate decorate the card and show it off in a taped birthday greeting. Then, upload your creation back to Disney's website.
All of the videos will be posted to DisneyJunior.com. However, the network will seek out a few special treasures to put on TV! Those selections will air on Disney and Disney Junior between Monday, February 25 and Friday, March 1 – the date of the very special episode, "Jake's Birthday Bash."
Even if you don't make a greeting or get on TV, there's a bevy of booty to be found on the Disney website. Look for pirate-themed recipes, crafts, party favors and a "Pin the Tail on the Croc" activity. Kids can also help Jake hunt for presents in an interactive treasure hunt, which will launch on the same day as his special birthday episode.
"Jake's Birthday Bash" will air on Friday, March 1 on the Disney Channel (8:30 a.m. ET/PT) and Disney Junior (5:30 p.m. ET/PT).
