Wired's Non-Stop CES Live Blog: Filtering the Noise From the Signal

The epic gathering of geeks known as CES is upon us. The Wired crew joining the annual onslaught of press conferences and schmoozing required to fondle all those awesome gadgets is doing something a little different this year. Rather than write a zillion posts, we're going to compile most of our coverage in a live blog. It will include everything from breakout products to hidden gems we've found on the show floor.

The goal is to focus on what's important, leaving the minutiae aside. Do you really need an entire article about Company X adding Google+ to an HDTV? No. No, you do not. If it's interesting, we'll add it to the live blog. If it's huge, we'll write a separate story with all the details.

The goal is to curate the signal by removing the noise, because there is a whole lot of noise at CES. We'll pepper the live blog with our own impressions, insights, rants and delirious mumblings from the press conferences, behind-the-scenes confabs and the parties. Especially the parties.

The fun starts Sunday and continues uninterrupted through Friday when we head home with sore feet, aching backs and enough thumb drives to pave a highway from San Francisco to Las Vegas.
