Welcome to the third and final part of the GeekMom gift guide for Etsy. If you’re looking to buy away from the big name chain stores this holiday season then Etsy is a treasure trove of small sellers and handmade goods. Here are some of our favorite stores selling artwork as prints, posters and more; however bear in mind that many Etsy stores sell several different kinds of goods so it’s worth checking any out that might appeal.

Monster Gallery creates movie posters in a retro style; the films come from many genres and there are also several collections including Hitchcock, Tarantino and Wes Anderson. My personal favorites are are the replica book covers.

Xander Thurteen draws vibrant cartoons in a very distinctive style, his work varies from Care Bears and Pixar through to Freddy and Jason and will certainly liven up any room.

Harshness is a retro poster store that features both movies and TV shows. One of the latest collections features locations from Game of Thrones however you’re sure to find a favorite movie somewhere in here. Harry Potter house banners are also available, as is everything from Disney to X-Men.

At first glance, the prints at Lyrical Artworks look like standard minimalist designs you might pick up anywhere, but a closer inspection reveals that song lyrics are woven into the design, in some cases more subtly than others. There are hundreds of songs to choose from, but if you have a specific lyric you’d like designing into a print, we're happy to report the store accommodates custom orders.

You may recognise Karen Hallion’s work from many geek style sites. She has created several different styles including her immensely popular art nouveau portraits and her new series of Disney princesses entering the TARDIS. If you’re looking for something smaller, many of her designs are also available as die cut stickers, including her popular Firefly cartoons.

Maia Fire will appeal to a much smaller audience than most of the stores on this list, however the amazing talent on display here was far too good to pass over. The store includes some Supernatural cartoons, however the vast majority is taken over by Twin Peaks art – specifically by a tarot card set featuring all the characters from the show. The drawings completely capture the disturbing nature of the show even down to the choice of colors.

The ornate skulls from Dia de los Muertos (the Mexican Day of the Dead) have become popular in recent years, and these helmet designs from Star Wars are the perfect match for these designs. The prints from Guerra de las Galaxias are stunningly detailed and will certainly be a talking point in your house, however I have to admit that Chewbacca is just downright creepy.

The posters at Ron and Indy include some very different collections that should appeal to the space fans and astronomers in your life. Along with posters inspired by video games from Tetris to Portal and by films, there are sets of faux travel posters featuring stylized landmarks from Mercury, Venus, and Mars, all which would be great for confusing inattentive co-workers (“oh that looks lovely, we might book a trip there ourselves!”).

Some of you may be familiar with OniYon as she is the artist behind the superladies in sweaters series. Most of these designs are available here along with occasional original pieces and the dressed up Wonder Woman series as well.

Just One Scarf specialises in propaganda style posters featuring all the major social networks, several of the smaller ones, and a few other properties as well such as Minecraft, Skyrim and the United Nation of Bacon. If you’re part of the IT crowd, these would be perfect for office decor.

Joebot creates some of the cutest print characters out there, in fact two of his designs have pride of my place in my master bedroom. His Knights of Good design is just too adorable and was approved by Felicia herself.

Finally The Gorgonist is back for a second year in this guide because the drawings were just impossible to leave out. The style reminds me of the illustrations in my old childhood books mixing slightly twee with the fantastic, a style that works perfectly with Doctor Who - the girl/boy who waited pair of prints would look spectacular hung together, whilst The Little Doctor will take many of you straight back to your childhoods.
