Just got back from seeing The Hobbit and thinking to your self: Damn, I wish Saruman had put out a Christmas album? Well, here's the next best thing. Christopher Lee — Saruman himself — has just released A Heavy Metal Christmas. The playlist is a little short with just "The Little Drummer Boy" and "Silent Night," but it's a gift that will keep giving, year after year. Especially his take on "The Little Drummer Boy." I'm not a big heavy metal fan, but I can appreciate the over-the-top bombast of this track and Lee's voice absolutely makes it. Oh, and the cover is pretty fantastic in its cheesiness too.
