Fluxx is a card game of ever-changing rules and goals, with many different themed editions. On Geek & Sundry's TableTop this week, Wil and friends Chloe Dykstra, Alex Albrecht, and Jordan Mechner play Star Fluxx, the variant where players assume roles of B-movie space explorers.
It's a very funny episode and a long one, too. A typical game of Fluxx runs about 15 minutes, but because of wormhole abuse, a special card that allows players to add a random card, this game went on for 45 minutes (and edited down for normal episode length).
This episode is the one that let Wil know that this show was going to be a hit. After 12 hours of shooting episodes, the crew was still playing games between shoots, especially Star Fluxx. Wheaton knew that if he could still have fun and turn new gamers on to cardboard after such long hours, the show was going to be a success. He was right!
But can he ever win a game on his own? Is this his lucky week? Watch and find out!
