Saturday morning our “new” mission control vessel arrived at Copenhagen Suborbitals after a 30 hours and 200 nautical miles journey from Norway. It was a happy crew arriving who only had minor engine issues during the tour and was boarded, during a check stop, by the Swedish coast guard.
Claus Mejling of Copenhagen Suborbitals quickly created a small video about the ship with some basic information. Please have a look.
As of now, we have economy for 1.5 years of maintenance and operation. The ship needs a new paint, some minor repairs and adjustments such as permanent installations for mission control, craning and general operations.
The ship has been named “Vostok” as a tribute to the first manned space capsule in history.
