Blood and Chrome Brings You Back to Galactica

Battlestar Galactica fans rejoice -- Blood and Chrome is finally here! The prequel series, which follows a young William Adama as he joins the fray in the first Cylon War, has had a bit of a troubled history. Originally planned as a new series airing on Syfy, the two-hour pilot is instead available as online episodes through the Machinima YouTube channel. The series consists of ten episodes and will air on the Syfy channel as a movie next February.

Battlestar Galactica fans rejoice – Blood and Chrome is finally here!

Episodes 1-4 have been released, and all the fast camera zooms and intense space battle scenes from Battlestar Galactica are back. While the first episode is almost completely predictable – Adama is cocky and itching to get in the fight! Everyone thinks he's too frakkin' eager to fight those toasters! Frak this! Frak that! – the following three episodes introduce an intriguing storyline. Although there's no real suspense to the plot, since we know Adama will live to fight in the future (such is the nature of prequels), Blood and Chrome has me looking forward to the next episode.

After trying and failing to get into Caprica, I'm excited to be finally be drawn back into the universe of Battlestar Galactica. The remaining six episodes of Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome air Fridays on Machinima Prime.
