Numerous film luminaries worked with Corman early in their careers, including Martin Scorsese, James Cameron and Francis Ford Coppola. Even Ron Howard got his directorial debut in the Corman school of directing.

Corman’s also notorious for low-budget movies, without a lot of payment to cast in crew: His autobiography is appropriately titled How I Made a Hundred Movies in Hollywood and Never Lost a Dime. And at age 86, Corman is still making movies. His latest follows the standard schlock format of seminaked chicks fighting (in 3-D!) — these girls are 50 feet tall, so we’re talking B-I-G boobs!

Wired sat down with Corman to talk about his latest film, Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader, and get some solid advice on moviemaking.
