Apparently, October is the Month of the Flexagon. According to Merriam-Webster, flexagons are folded paper figures that can be flexed along their folds to expose various arrangements of their faces. Io9 described them rather more evocatively as "scrap paper topology projects." In three of her videos, Vi Hart demonstrates that flexagons are best understood by playing with them.
