If you want to go all Felix Baumgartner and capture your POV while performing extreme stunts, you need a GoPro strapped to your back -- or helmet. Just in time for the inevitable surge of daredevil free-fallers, GoPro has announced its latest portable, mountable camera line: the GoPro Hero 3.

The GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition, the premiere model, features a 12MP camera that can shoot 4K video at 12 fps, or 1080p video at up to 60 fps. It also comes with a Wi-Fi remote.

Along with the Black Edition, GoPro also introduced $200 5-megapixel White Edition and $300 11-megapixel Silver Edition. Booth shoot 1080p video at up to 30 fps, or 720p video at 60 fps. All three models are compatible with the GoPro iOS app (an Android version is in the works).

The GoPro Hero 3 is available for pre-order now, and will begin shipping Nov. 14.

We'll have a full review up as soon as possible. In the meantime, for more details, head over to Wired Business.
