Judy Berna is thrilled to have her book finally published and ready to buy on Amazon. She's even more excited to get the word out to amputees and their families, as well as anyone who's ever had a huge life decision to make. Her book's website is finished and filled with before and after pictures of her amputation surgery and the incredible life she's found afterward. Now that the book is finished, she's ready to go back to cooking a family dinner every now and then.

Dakster Sullivan will once again be serving the empire this weekend with multiple troops scheduled for Saturday and a relaxing day of reading on Sunday. She also plans on doing some comic book hunting to see if she can locate a copy of the Star Trek: The Next Generation / X-Men Second Contact for her comic book collection. If you know where she can find one, shoot her an email Dak903@gmail.com!

Sarah is celebrating her wedding anniversary this year, nine years married, nine years in the US, two children, one house and not enough time! She hopes to finally get Mount Laundry put away in time to settle down for the opening episode of Once Upon a Time this Sunday. She is working on Amigurumi patterns based on the Mr Men books and hopes to have a set done in time for Christmas, she is already listening to Christmas music - Bing Crosby rocks!

Laura's family is still putting up the harvest. Or more accurately, putting up with mom putting up the harvest. Kids tend to evade the kitchen lest they find themselves apprenticed to canning, drying, and freezing tasks. Plus, Laura has been ranting this week about dying her hair pink. No one in her small town would speak to her again, but after what happened, that might be a good thing.

Amy has a big weekend ahead with World Maker Faire NY (find her there on Saturday), the 22nd anniversary of her first date with her husband, and the medieval invasion of northern Manhattan at The Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon Park.

Rebecca is finally accepting that summer is over. On to fall! And onto New York City for the Maker Faire. She is going with her whole family and has only a vague idea what to expect. She will be wearing her GeekMom t-shirt, so be sure to say hello :)

Cindy is looking forward to Maker Faire this weekend. When not helping with the GeekMom/GeekDad booth she'll be enjoying the rest of the festivities.

Kris Bordessa is thrilled that her Team Challenges book is back in stock after her publisher accidentally ran out of stock. She admits to some heavy sighing during the debacle, but has moved on to more fun stuff like gardening and reading The Paladin Prophecy.

Melissa Wiley will be signing books, including her new middle-grade novel The Prairie Thief, at The Yellow Book Road in San Diego on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 3pm. If you're in the area, drop by and say hello!

Corrina Lawson is celebrating a full week of kids not being sick and a chance to get some quiet time in which to write during the day. She's also thrilled to have received a glowing review of her upcoming book, Phoenix Legacy, from Night Owl Reviews.
