New BlackBerry 10 Spy Shots Surface

RIM has a lot riding on BlackBerry 10 and the devices that will be launched alongside the new operating system. If the company has any hope of remaining relevant in the smartphone space, it rides on these upcoming launches. RIM has a lot riding on BlackBerry 10 and the devices that will be launched alongside the new operating system. If the company has any hope of remaining relevant in the smartphone space, it rides on these upcoming launches.

One of those new devices has allegedly been spotted by BlackBerry enthusiast site N4BB.com. The spy shot of what could be a L-Series BlackBerry phone appeared on Monday. The new keyboard-less L-Series is expected to be the first set of phones for RIM's new mobile OS, followed by the N-Series, which will have physical keyboards.

Though blurry and underexposed, the above image offers hints at what might be available on BlackBerry 10. The usual suspects make an appearance, including text messaging, e-mail and App World. The phone also includes music, video and what appears to be a video-editing app called StoryMaker. And if the image is accurate, BB10 devices might come loaded with Facebook as a default app.

RIM pushed the launch of BlackBerry 10 and devices to the first quarter of 2013 from an initial fourth-quarter 2012 launch. The Waterloo company has also hinted at licensing BlackBerry technology to third-party hardware vendors.
