So you want to be the Alpha geek on the beach this Summer? Then you should most certainly bring the geekiest gears with you to the shore! I came across these amazing beach speakers compatible with your favorite mp3 players and smartphone, on Lego Cuusoo! Yes they are for most parts made out of Lego bricks, regular ones and Technics.
The artist, Antti Hakala has put a lot of efforts and attention to detail in this creation, which is part of a bigger collection. Based on the information available on the Lego Cuusoo site, it seems that there are at least three more models available. This is not the first attempt from Hakala at making DIY speakers and ghetto blasters, some pretty nice videos are available on his Youtube channel too.
Not so surprisingly, Hakala seems to be a Lego fan as well, and his personal collection of Sci-Fi custom Lego creations is definitely worth having a look. Some of them can also be found on Lego Cuusoo.
It is hard to tell whether this set has a strong chance to be selected as an official Lego set, given the amount of non-Lego, or Lego modified pieces in these speakers. But the artist certainly deserves your vote as a sign of appreciation for his talent! At least he has just received mine...
