August 10-13: GeekGirlCon (Seattle, WA)
A celebration of the female geek? No way would GeekMom miss that! Listen and join in a fun roundtable discussion with Cathé Post, Kelly Knox, and the other panelists in the "Geeks Raising Geeks" panel on Saturday.
August 16-19: Gen Con (Indianapolis, IN)
Gen Con celebrates its 45th year bringing you The Best Four Days in Gaming. Nicole Wakelin will be on the Women and Gaming panel on Friday at 4pm and The D6 Generation Play By Mob on Friday at noon. Stop by, say hello, and join the conversation!
August 23-26: Star Wars Celebration VI (Orlando, FL)
Dakster Sullivan is planning to attend a number of activities at this year's Celebration, including the 501st Legion Family Banquet, the Imperial Bash, and the Kids Bash. You can spot her in her phenomenal Aalya Secura and Clone Trooper costumes during the convention. August 31-September 2: Penny Arcade Expo (Seattle, WA)
PAX Prime is the biggest geek event to hit Seattle every year. GeekMoms and GeekDads can be found in the Kraken Theatre on Sunday to talk about "Raising the Next Generation of Geeks," and will also be roaming the convention center all weekend to check out the latest and greatest in gaming.
August 31-September 3: Dragon*Con (Atlanta, GA)
Labor Day weekend also brings the fun at Dragon*Con in Atlanta. Mandy Horetski, Ruth Suehle, and Patricia Vollmer are in the spotlight at 1:00 on Friday afternoon for the "Are You a Geek Parent?" panel. Join the GeekMoms (and a GeekDad) to talk about family and what being a geek really means.
September 29-30: World Maker Faire (New York City, NY)
GeekMom will be at the World Maker Faire in Queens, NY, at the end of month. Stop by the booth to say hi to the GeekMom contingent Kathy Ceceri, Helene McLaughlin, Andrea Schwalm, Amy Kraft, and Ruth Suehle.
