The Lego Group and Warner Bros are working on a new Lego movie which should hit the theaters early 2014. To fuel their creativity and make the Lego fans contribute, the movie Directors came up with a little contest spanning over the next 4 months.
The rules are very simple, design any type of transportation vehicle out of re-purposed Lego pieces, as long as these pieces do not originate from the same type of vehicle as the final creation. It is also required not to use third party Lego brands under license. Once your creation is ready, just take a picture of it and submit it via their website. You might win a 1000$ prize and a chance to see your creation live in the new 3D animated Lego film: Lego The Motion Picture.
Of course, Lego did not forget its adult fans and provides three categories in which builders can compete: age 7 to 12, 13 to 17, and 18+. So give it a try and dare to be beaten by your kids in a fair competition.
Outside of the bricks thinking is encouraged!
