Video: Dark Knight Producer Praises Christopher Nolan's Vision

“Chris is really the visionary behind the Dark Knight trilogy,” says Roven in the video above, conducted in the Wired Café during Comic-Con International. “Chris ended up presenting his idea, his vision, for the movie, before the screenplay was written. And the studio had been looking to find a way to reimagine, reboot, whatever you want to call it, that particular brand. And they just hadn’t been able to figure out a way to do it.”

Roven, who’s produced blockbusters like Twelve Monkeys and Three Kings during his four decades in the movie biz, also talks about two other high-profile projects he’s working on: Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman film Man of Steel and videogame-inspired flick Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.
