For a little over a year now, Chicago rapper Rockie Fresh has been chronicling his rise in hip-hop on YouTube. Recording in Los Angeles, touring, going to South by Southwest to play showcases – nearly everything the MC did was chronicled in black-and-white clips that went online in five- to eight-minute bursts.

Now Mr. Fresh – whose love of Back to the Future DeLoreans would rival any nerd's – is back with the second season of his series, Life on the Otherside. This time he will chronicle his West Coast tour before heading to the Buku Music and Arts Festival in New Orleans and – believe it or not – a meet-up with Ruff Ryder DMX.

In the first episode (above), the realities of indie hip-hop touring – no limos, no groupies – are in the forefront as Rockie's posse fights (in NSFW language) over who has to drive the bus and carry the gear. Roshambo over who has to carry the Rubbermaid? Aw yeah! It's all here. All brought to you in black-and-white realness.

On more pimplike pursuits, Rockie Fresh and his crew tear it up in a Vancouver club and pick up stacks of Adidas sneakers in Portland, Oregon.

Check out the adventures of Rockie Fresh and his crew in the clip above, then head to the rapper's website to download his latest mixtape, Driving 88. Head to Fresh's YouTube page to catch up on the previous season of Life on the Otherside.
