Despite since being adapted as a TV show, written up as a six book series and made into a movie, Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy began its life as a radio play on BBC Radio 4. This summer the original cast will reunite to take the radio show on tour across the UK with a series of guests voicing the book itself along the way.

Beginning in June, Simon Jones, Geoff McGivern, Susan Sheridan and Mark Wing-Davey will criss-cross the UK bringing the radio show to life live on stage. They will be joined by a host of celebrities playing the book not least of whom is Neil Gaiman, a good friend of Douglas' who will perform on the show's final tour night in Edinburgh. To get a taste of what the show will be like, a trailer was released yesterday featuring footage from a performance at Hitchcon '09.
