Want four minutes of the new Spider-Man? You're in luck! It's officially summer blockbuster season, and movie teasers are shooting onto the internet faster than webs from Spidey's wrists, including this new spot for The Amazing Spider-Man.
Much of this footage has been seen before, particularly the parts giving exposition to the backstory of Peter Parker (played by Andrew Garfield) and his relationship with Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone). But the heretofore-unseen scene at the beginning – when Spider-Man saves a series of cars from falling off a bridge – is pretty freaking epic. And Spidey's exchange with the little boy in the burning car is fantastic, even if the pulling-off-the-mask bit is getting a little played-out.
The teaser for director Marc Webb's summer Spider-Man reboot also packs a few more quick-cut glimpses of the Lizard (Rhys Ifans). However, they're still pretty brief and it's hard to get a clear, full picture of the green monster (c'mon Webb, we know more about what Bane looks like than we do this dude). For now, that part remains a teaser in the truest form of the word. Guess we'll all see what he looks like when the film makes it to the multiplex.
The Amazing Spider-Man, not yet rated, hits theaters July 3.
