Giving further credence to the idea that Iron Man really does not play well with others, a suited-up Tony Stark butts heads (literally) with Thor in the latest clip for The Avengers.
The video, which went up on iTunes Tuesday, is definitely off-message from the ra-ra teamwork clips that have surfaced recently, but holy crap is that some good fightin'! Watching the swagger that is Iron Man (played by Robert Downey Jr.) take on the muscle-with-a-face that is Thor (Chris Hemsworth) really is a sight to behold.
This being a garden-variety teaser, there's not really any context as to why these two superheroes are fighting (let's just all blame Iron Man, shall we?). It's also not clear who wins the smackdown, but it's really hard to care about that when they're dragging each other up hillsides and stuff.
There's really not much else to say. Watch the clip (it can be downloaded from iTunes) and count the hours until you can see the whole movie, context and all.
The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon, hits theaters May 4.
