In an effort to get his game to the top of the Paid Apps chart on iTunes, indie dev Zach Gage is running a limited-time 50% off sale for his latest game SpellTower, cutting the game's price from $1.99 to 99 cents.
SpellTower is a word-puzzler that asks players to create words by linking letters on a game board by drawing lines with a finger. It's a simple concept, but Gage's implementation of elegant typography and various modes have earned SpellTower more recognition than his past games. It's currently at the #3 position on the paid gaming apps chart for iPad; the only two games ahead of it are Draw Something and Angry Birds Space.
"I'll need a nap later when this is over," Gage said in an email.
