The Pebble smartwatch project broke Kickstarter's funding record on Monday night when it reached $3.34 million in only five days.

The point-and-click adventure game Double Fine Adventure held the previous record when it raised a total of $3,336,371 on the crowd-soruced funding platform in March -- a campaign that took 34 days. A month prior, The Elevation Dock broke the most-funded record, raising a total of $1,464,706 in 60 days.

Pebble has quickly surpassed both projects and continues to gain traction -- at press time, the project had $3,684,303 in funding and 25,580 backers. With a month to go, that number will shoot higher, but by how much, the world can only speculate.
