  • Dakster Sullivan will be trooping with the 501st legion at the University of Central Florida's annual Bookfest! While trooping, she will also be testing out the new bikn device. After the troop she plans to work on her latest top-secret costuming project. Check back with us in May to see its unveiling!
  • Michelle McCrary has come out of hiding and back to GeekMom, thanks to being inspired by the recent story arc of the DC Comics New 52 Wonder Woman comics. She has only seen The Hunger Games twice since it opened and hopes to see it several more times before the week is out.
  • Ariane shipped the kiddo to grandma's last weekend so she could do repairs around the house and write about what makes a good video game for busy working moms. She's also getting ready (and excited!) to lead next month's GeekMom Book Club!
  • Patricia is enjoying getting her garden geekiness on this week -- a few weeks ahead of her friends who live north of the Mason-Dixon Line, ha ha! She's also drowning in baseball practices and games, spending four evenings per week at the local ball fields. At least this year the kids practice at the same locatio; this time last year she was dealing with one at the baseball diamond, the other on the soccer fields a mile away!
  • Kelly Knox is excited to attend her second Emerald City Comicon this weekend. She's on the lookout for two Funko Star Wars bobble heads exclusive to the con -- if you hear a crazy woman at the con telling a bobble head, "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?", it's Kelly. She is also pumped for the Game of Thrones premiere on Sunday night and looking forward to having friends over for a premiere party.
  • Rebecca has prepared a fun RPG (Role-Play Game) session for her creative writing class, complete with crazy monkeys. Her two kids are also running games for the class, so although they are the GMs (Game Masters), she has dubbed herself the OL (Over Lord).
  • Corrina's family is still in grieving over the loss of their family dog last Saturday. Mira had cancer and passed away peacefully but they still miss her. They've also been dealing with a mysterious hot water shortage that was finally discovered to be caused by a stuck valve, which is being replaced. In the meantime, she had time to finally watch X-men: First Class and has decided Michael Fassbender makes an absolutely perfect Magneto, even if the movie had some issues, primarily being that she couldn't take the bad guys hiding in a submarine seriously, not when the image of the villains from the 1960s Batman show is permanently etched in her mind.
  • Brigid is taking some well needed downtime -- but also doing a free print giveaway on her blog.
