I'm a big fan of Firefly and have been since the moment that the first episode aired. For years now, I've been a part of the *Firefly *fandom community. I enjoy reading the comics, re-watching the TV episodes as well as Serenity but I long for something more. It looks like I may get my wish this Christmas as a new MMORPG, Firefly Universe Online, is due to come out this December.
Browncoats, like me, are always on the lookout for any hint we might get more from the Firefly Universe. The idea that Netflix might be able to bring Firefly had the Browncoat community very excited. The community also flocked to see and buy copies of Browncoats: Redemption, the fan film for charity. But before now, our hopes have been dashed as far as a video game goes.
There is a new trailer forFirefly Universe Online being developed by DarkCryo Entertainment. It mostly shows scenes of the worlds and space that the game will take place, but we do get some glimpses of our Big Damn Heroes. You can see the trailer for yourself below. Firefly Universe Online has a release date of December 26, 2012.
