Icelandic indie-folk sextet Of Monsters and Men won’t release its debut full-length, My Head Is An Animal, stateside until April, but rousing single “Little Talks” has made the international rounds since last year, and never in more eye-frying fashion than in the new CGI-stuffed video.
Directed by We Were Monkeys‘ Mihai Wilson, the “Little Talks” video, which premiered Friday and is viewable above, is a snowbound fantasy bursting with sorcery, landscapes and imagination. The startling visuals should engage fans of Tim Burton, Henry Selick and Jeunet-Caro, while the song’s spirited horns and shared vocals will probably have some nostalgia addicts firing up their favorite Sugarcubes tunes.
Those who like what they see and hear can check out Iceland’s latest cool export in the flesh this spring, starting March 14 to 17 at South By Southwest‘s multimedia blowout. After that, Of Monsters and Men tour the rest of the United States beginning March 21 in Los Angeles and wrapping April 10 in New York. Catch the band while last year’s bidding war is still warm.
