Is your kid a metal head? Does he have a picture of Lemmy from Motorhead on his wall? Does she sing Judas Priest songs in the shower? Does his iPod have two volume settings, loud and off? If your kid is a metal head and you need a week of peace and quiet then the School of Rock may have a win-win solution for everyone.

The School of Rock is bringing their brand of hands-on, performance-based style of teaching to Camp Lakota in the Catskill Mountains for the first ever School of Rock Metal Camp! Campers, ages 12-18, will spend seven days and six nights honing their skills on guitar, bass, keys, drums and vocals under the tutelage of The School of Rock's expert staff. This year's instructors will include special guest instructor Mike Chlasciak, also known as "Metal Mike." Metal Mike has worked as lead guitarist for Rob Halford of Judas Priest and Sebastian Bach of Skid Row.

When the kids aren't learning new shredding skills or rehearsing for the finale, also known as The Big Show,
there will be other exciting activities including a zipline, go carts, a skate park, a climbing wall, swimming and bonfires.

The camp will run from August 19–25, 2012. Beginner through advanced students are welcomed and all the students will be part of the final show on stage with Metal Mike.
