Early this morning, Mads Stenfatt from Copenhagen Suborbitals has made a first attempt to fold and pack one of our three main parachutes for space capsule Tycho Deep Space.

Mads, who is a parachute jumper himself, will later join forces with a Master Rigger because there is quite a difference between folding and packing a one-person square-shaped parachute and a cross-parachute which we are using for the capsule. One parachute weighs 10 kg and is made from zero-porosity nylon fabric which makes the packing a bit more difficult this time.

If the weather turns out to be great, we will see the results on March 17 when we perform the very first test of this parachute from the gantry crane at Lindoe Space Test Center.
