I had waited for the Lord of the Rings movies for years. I remember first hearing about them in my freshman year of college and I followed the progress of the movies online obsessively. There was a webcomic that I also followed because the characters were just as excited for the movies as I was. That webcomic was Waiting for Frodo by Debbie Ridpath Ohi.
The webcomic followed a group of people as they were in line, waiting for each of the movies to be released. It was lighthearted and fun with interesting characters. I was always excited to see a new comic released. It was the first webcomic I ever followed.
Now that The Hobbit has a release date, it means a new comic from Debbie Ridpath Ohi. She has partnered this time with Shane McEwan, who is former WETA employee who worked on the Lord of the Rings movies. Waiting for Bilbo has only has started but I'm anticipating a fun ride like last time.
