YouTubers the Fine Brothers have made something of a cottage industry out of videotaping teenagers reacting to internet memes – Nyan Cat, Bed Intruder, Rick Perry – so it's amazing they hadn't gotten to bronies before. But now, thank Celestia, they have.

In "Teens React to My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic" (above), the brothers Fine ask a series of teenagers about the Hub Network animated series – most react with variations on, "Um, what?!" – and ultimately what they think of the fact that the show has attracted an audience of grown men. They also ask the teens what they think of the term "brony" and why bronies might want to unify under that name. ("To make them feel like it's not loser-y," 16-year-old Rumor postulates.)

The video has only been up since this weekend but it's already gotten more than 600,000 views (probably thanks to posts on Equestria Daily and Boing Boing).

The real joy here is watching exactly what happens when a brony who didn't know he was a brony finds his true calling. After watching the intro, 17-year-old Devin responds, "Is that a TV show? Oh my God, I'm so watching that!" And then when asked who he thought the show was aimed at he retorts, "Hopefully me, because they hooked me."

The cherry on top of the whole thing comes at the end when Devin declares, unapologetically, "I’m totally getting like a shirt that says, 'I’m a brony, got a problem with that?' ... Bronies of the world unite!"

Power to the people, man.

Check out some outtakes from the video below. My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic airs Saturdays at 10 a.m. Eastern/7 a.m. Pacific on the Hub TV network. (Oh, and Devin, a brony will probably be contacting you shortly. Welcome to the herd.)
