How much would you pay for a towel? A towel made especially for traveling. A towel which absorbs more water, dries faster and takes up less space in your suitcase than a regular fluffy cotton towel? If your answer is €95 ($123!) then the TravelTeq Travel Towel might be just your thing.
Is this amazing towel made from some space-age material? No. It's plain old linen, which does indeed weigh less and dry faster than a regular towel. And while it may be 20 times more absorbent than the towel you use every day, who cares? It's not like I'm showering with 19 other people and sharing a towel with them.
The 2 x 1.45 meter sheet does have one handy travel extra: a pocket which can hold a "wallet, iPd or book." Presumably you'll also need to bring along a plastic bag to protect them from all that thirstily-absorbed seawater.
There's another way to do this, you know. Head to your local sports, outdoor or homeware store and pick up a microfiber towel. Impossibly small, faster drying than even linen and very absorbent indeed, it will cost you less than $10.
Then again, it's unlikely that your cheap towel will have been photographed with a man standing in front of it, holding a book like a fan and pretending to be asleep on his feet.
