The HiNation solar panel is yet another solar charger for gadget-toting campers, but this one comes with a clever difference: it has a built-in lantern, meaning one less thing to carry when you hike or bike out into the countryside.
It's also designed for on-the-go use, offering a good compromise between weight and capacity, while being tough enough to survive the outdoors.
In good sunlight, 10 hours of charging will give 20 hours of light or charge three to seven cellphones from empty to full. It can be hung up, clipped to a bag or even floated on water (it's splashproof, not waterproof, so don't dunk it). Charging is done, you guessed it, via USB. And all this in a package that weighs just 430 grams (less than a pound).
The HiNation HiLight can be pre-ordered now for €200 ($258). Not cheap, but better than having to re-enter filthy civilization just to recharge your iPhone.
