If the sounds coming from this app seem like something from music legend Brian Eno, it's no accident. He's the creative force behind Bloom, which he calls "a music box for the 21st century." It can produce music on its own but also lets you have a hand in composing by tapping the screen to add pitches and warbles. Lava lamp visuals match the sounds.

WIRED Sleep timer. Immersive full-screen interface.

TIRED Limited sonic palette; you can make any type of music you want, as long as it's ambient.
