World Children's Festival: Washington, D.C.

The above YouTube clip captures beautifully the respectful approach that the World Children's Festival takes in celebrating children's creativity. Established as an annual event in Washington, D.C., each June by the International Child Art Foundation the festival brings together children from around the world in three days of music, art and creative expression. It is put best by the Foundation themselves:

From African drum-line to Chinese orchestra, music's capability to unite was a loud and clear message that echoed through the smiles and laughter of kids and adults of all different backgrounds. Quite simply, creativity, music, and the arts are powerful tools that can help us create a brighter world for our children to inherit.
