Finally...

Claus Nørregaard and I have succeeded in sketching all parts for the main hull and construction of the Tycho Deep Space capsule. Friday I was done creating the laser-cutting files and hopefully we will receive all parts very soon. The puzzle of combining it all into something that looks like the drawings you see here will begin.

The best personal payoff in a project like this is seeing the machine rise from a sketch to something you can really feel, touch and ingress.

As always, it is only the major parts we are having cut by laser. The rest and all the delicate details will be produced on the spot using whatever useful materials we have dispersed around HAB, which is a much faster process for us.

It is always unknown to me what images people will enjoy or find useful so I have decided to provide you with a free 3-D e-drawing of the entire capsule and some 3-D CAD. Please download it and go explore on your own.

Download package (3.35 Mb):
2D (.dwg), 3d (.EASM E-Drawing) & (.Stl)

I recommend the e-drawing, which can be explored by downloading the free 3-D browser here.
