You can take kids with you on vacation, but I imagine it must be pretty exhausting to drag the young'uns around the streets of Amsterdam or Paris all day long. So why not give junior their own map, so they can follow along with your touristic meanderings?
The Crumpled City Junior is just that -- a kid-proof map. Based on the adults-only Crumpled City maps, which put city plans onto soft fabric instead of delicate paper, the Junior series also makes the maps kid-friendly.
Printed on soft and light and "ultra resistant" waterproof material, you scrunch up the map and give it to the kids. They can gaze at the child-friendly colors (eye-searing to adults), point randomly at intersections and rivers, and dribble over it until they have a temper tantrum and fall asleep.
Then, you rescue the snot and food-encrusted rag from Junior's tiny hands and study it yourself. The maps are peppered with kid-friendly destinations (I imagine abattoir tours and circuses staffed by angry, alcoholic clowns), so you can find something to keep the children amused.
The Crumpled City Junior comes in versions for Amsterdam, Berlin, London, New York and Paris. Available now for €10 ($13).
