At GeekDad we are huge fans of teaching and introducing our kids to roleplaying games. We love the fact that they are fun, foster imagination, teach math and problem solving skills and build on our children's storytelling abilities and literacy - plus you usually get to kill a few orcs along the way.
So, it is great to see Drive Thru RPG having their own "Teach Your Kids to Game" Week. To celebrate they are having a huge sale on a whole range of RPGs that are great for starting out your kids on (because we can't all start with GURPS or D&D 4th ed.). There are some terrific titles and they also have tips from some experts on gaming with kids.
So, if you haven't found the time or the right game to start rolling up a character with your kids, this week might just be the time to start. Of course, you can also find a host of advice and tips in the GeekDad archives. Below you'll find a good list of previous articles written by GeekDads on roleplaying with kids.
