This morning, the Twitter world started discussing Google's barrel roll Easter egg.

If you have the right browser, Google has a little fun with this search string. According to Mashable's post about it, homage is being paid to a popular Nintendo 64 game, Star Fox 64. There's speculation that this might have been around for a while (but not too long, since it's coded in HTML5) but today a Tweet about it went viral.

*Note: This worked for me in Firefox 5.0 and Chrome 15.0.874.106 on my MacBook. It did NOT work in my Safari 5.1.1. Nor did it work on my PC's Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.0.3.
