AUSTIN, Texas – A DIY vibe turns the annual Fun Fun Fun Fest into a distinctively enjoyable musical event, if you can get past all the dust.

Performances by punk, indie and hip-hop legends drew thousands of fans to the Auditorium Shores here for the sixth anniversary of the one-of-a-kind festival. In addition to band pictured in the gallery above, legendary acts like Public Enemy and Slayer performed on Fun Fun Fun Fest's stages during the three-day festival last weekend.

The most memorable thing from this year's festival was, without a doubt, Glenn Danzig's diva moment before his headlining performance Friday night. A snarky comment left on Fun Fun Fun's official Facebook page explained to furious fans why Danzig Legacy's set was cut short, blaming the former Misfits singer's need for windscreens and French onion soup to ward off the impending "death bug" in his system for the group's short set.

This became a running joke with punk bands like The Damned and Hot Snakes. Ted Leo and the Pharmacists took the bit even further, with the band leader donning a black wig near the end of his set and covering Misfits songs like "Skulls" as a direct reference to the Facebook post.
