Steady as she goes. Professional dolly shots can be your for just $20

Sure, you could spend $200 on a set of CineSkates, a set of three wheels which turn your Gorillapod into a flexible, rolling tripod dolly. Or you could save $180 and make your own.

Fungus Amungus, the content manager at Instructables, put together a home-made version of the CineSkates using just $20 worth of parts. If you have a pair of in-line skates that you don't use, you might be able to make this for nothing.

The hack is dead simple. All you do is drill holes through the feet of the Gorillapod and bolt on the wheels through their bearings. That's it. And if you have the Gorillapod with the magnetic feet, it's possible you could fashion an even simpler version.

As Fungus Amungus says, the CineSkates are likely to be much better made, but for quick dollying on the cheap, you can't beat this DIY version.
