Exclusive Clip: Takeshi Kitano's Blood-Soaked Yakuza Outrage

Bullets fly and blood splatters in this exclusive clip from the Japanese auteur’s latest yakuza bleeder. Kitano created Outrage as an experiment in accessible ultraviolence, building the film around the various ways he planned to brutally dispatch its characters.

Kitano, who also stars in the movie, has dangled something for everyone, whether that’s fans of his samurai classic Zatōichi or his hilariously humiliating game show, Takeshi’s Castle (which was remixed with rapid-fire jokes in the United States as MXC).

Streaming on demand now and hitting theaters Dec. 2, Outrage premiered last year in Japan and was a Cannes selection. A sequel is already planned. Screen the clip above and let us know in the comments section below if you’re a Takeshi beatnik.
