At GeekDad, we are happy to dig and explore and question the culture in which we immerse ourselves. So, we are pleased to see the recent work of artist Kevin Bolk. In the image above, Kevin has taken his inks to the latest Avengers promo material and reworked it as if the male characters were drawn in the way female comic characters are drawn.

It is stark when you realize it and as parents of either sons or daughters we should be helping them challenge these types of blatant stereotypes whenever we see them. And, the work of people like Kevin can help if we use them as resources to prove our point. Not sure if it was your intention, Kevin, but thank you.
