Welcome, potential relic wranglers! I'll give you a nutshell introduction to what we're hoping to do here. (Click on the "About" link for a full run down on what we're up to.)
We will to gather as much information as we can about certain lost media artifacts. (Click on the "Groups" tab above for a complete list.)
We want to assemble a list of who would know even more about these artifacts. Creators, historians, obsessed fans...anyone with special knowledge.
We want to share the information we find with each other on the Relic Wranglers site.
If we discover a work that still exists, and pinpoint the impediment that's keeping it from being released, we will brainstorm ways around that impediment. Do we have to track down the rights holder? Do we need to demonstrate that a sufficient number of fans would shell out for the unreleased artwork, making some sort of release worthwhile? Do we simply need to let an artist know that they shouldn't be ashamed of that piece of juvenilia in their storage shed?
Retire the item, exchange high fives, and move on to the next item on our list.
