Bloody bodies and nasty ghosts haunt Corpse Party, a horror adventure game that publisher Xseed will release for PlayStation Portable this fall.
You’ll play as a group of students and one teacher that sets out to explore a school called Heavenly Host Elementary. Lots of people die in Heavenly Host Elementary, often in gruesome and/or paranormal fashion, and it’s your job to figure out why. Gameplay involves exploration, decision-making and puzzle-solving.
“You’ll often need the perfect blend of dexterity and innovative thinking to survive these ordeals — not just running for your life, but also trying to find some way of escaping a room that really, really doesn’t want to let you leave,” Xseed’s Tom Lipschultz writes on the official PlayStation blog.
Though in some ways Corpse Party resembles the visual novel Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors , Xseed promises that this grisly adventure is “definitely much more” than an interactive book.
