This is one of the most clever -- and well-executed -- geek crafts I have yet come across. My Star Trek Quiet Book works on both levels -- as a learning book for wee kids, and as a treat for Trekkies. There are finger puppets of the crew members, a "glove" that shows you how to form the Vulcan salute, and a snap-on visor for Geordi. While kids would have a blast with this felt and embroidery creation, I suspect many grown-ups would be tempted to keep it on a high shelf, all for themselves.

The book seems to be one-of-a-kind, but maker and mom-to-be Julie Gillrie also has an Etsy store, where you can buy a pattern to make My Jedi Quiet Book.
