Last week we reviewed (S)mythology, a new book from Jeramy Tarr that plays with a variety of western myths to tell the story of Sophie, the poor little girl who proves that love kills. You see, due to a curse put on her by the Gorgons (think Medusa with the snaky hair), anyone who falls in love with her and then looks at her turns to stone. Tarr then uses uses Gorgons, Cupid, mermaids, Poseidon, Hades, Jesus, Buddha, a Yeti, Lazarus, Melope, and Death and other mythological creatures and stories.
Now it's your turn.
We have 3 copies of the beautifully illustrated (S)mythology to give away this week, and all you have to do is tell us what your favorite myth is. Leave a comment at the bottom of this post with the name or description of your favorite myth from any tradition (Greek, Chinese, Norse, Klingon, whatever…) and you will be entered to win. We'll take entries through next Friday at 11:59 PM EST.
