A Tyrannosaurus Rex runs wild in Aaron Horkey's Jurassic Park poster for Mondo, the first in a series of artistic salutes to the 1993 dinosaur flick.

The poster was unveiled Wednesday during a Mondo Mystery Movie screening of the sci-fi classic at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar in Austin, Texas. Visual-effects artist Phil Tippett, the film's dinosaur supervisor, attended the screening.

"Jurassic Park is one of Mondo’s biggest series yet," said Mondo creative director Justin Ishmael in a press release. "Along with Star Wars and Star Trek, we've seen an equal level of excitement amongst artists to take on this seminal film."

The latest hot-hot-hot poster series from the Austin film geeks will continue with other artists "rendering their vision of the classic film," Mondo said. A second print is scheduled to be available for online sale timed to the release of the Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy on Blu-ray on Oct. 25," Mondo said.
