Pokémon, Fiasco, Magic, and a GeekDad panel - oh my!
Are you going to be attending PAX Prime? I am! My family and I will be easy to spot, I'll be wearing a Pokémon poodle skirt, Converse All Star boots, and Eevee dice bag to accessorize. My daughter will be matching the poodle skirt theme in her own way, while my husband will be the guy in the Washington State tartan kilt with a baby on his back. And yes, my son will probably be screaming to get down (so he can destroy PAX like Godzilla) and my daughter will be a ham (hello, she's the product of two geeks in a geeky household). The photo above doesn't lie. This is what my family will look like. Don't be shy! If you see me, say hi! I'd love to meet some of our readers!
This is our second PAX. We attended in 2009 while I was 8 months pregnant. Fun was had, but I suspect this time around will top our last experience. We are looking forward to the Acquisitions Inc panel as well as playing games.
I will have a couple of games on me including but not limited to: Pokémon TCG, Magic, Tsuro, and Fiasco. Plus there are normally a lot of games to check out in the side meeting rooms. Tweet me and maybe we can meet up for a game. My husband's goal is to get Wil Wheaton to play a game of Fiasco.
The Geek Parenting Panel will be on Sunday in the Pegasus Theatre from 10 - 11:30. Panelists include: myself, Rael Dornfest, Asha Dornfest, Ken Denmead (who also posted about this panel over on GeekDad), Dave Banks, Jonathan Liu, and Curtis Silver.
