Somehow, the last thing we expected to see Formula 1 champ Sebastian Vettel endorsing is a crossover utility vehicle.
But that's exactly what Infiniti will roll out next month at the Frankfurt auto show when Vettel unveils the FX50 concept car he helped design. The 390-horsepower CUV is slathered in matte white paint. Other tidbits include oversize wheels, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, LED driving lamps and a V-shaped badge overlaid with a winding-road "S" on the quarter panel.
Infiniti, which inked a sponsorship deal with Red Bull Racing at the beginning of the season, released a single photo of the vehicle. We would have expected Vettel to go for something sportier, but AutoWeek says Vettel chose the FX50 because it has room for his mountain bike.
