The Cartoon Network series, a reboot of the 1980s animated classic, begins with a one-hour special Friday, and so far, it’s looking good.
The latest version of ThunderCats follows Lion-O on a quest to protect the kingdom of Thundera on Third Earth from the evil forces of Mumm-Ra (‘memba him?). Lion-O still has his litter of merry mousers to help him on his journey — Tygra, Cheetara, Panthro, WilyKat and Snarf.
Having seen the premiere episode, it looks pretty awesome, and it should appeal to both old-school ThunderFans and the crowd that likes to get high and watch cartoons on Friday night. Chances are, its nine lives will last for a while. Check out the teaser above and let us know if you’re as excited for the new series as we are.
